Nessie Placed a Bulk Order. We Had Questions. We Didn't Ask Them.

The order came in through the website like any other. Name: N. Ness. Shipping address: Loch Ness, Scotland. Order: 24 bags of Foxhole Coffee Dark Roast, 12 bags of S'mores, 6 bags of Ethiopia Yirgacheffe. Expedited shipping.

Our fulfillment team flagged it. We looked at it for a long time.

The credit card cleared. The address was technically valid — Scotland is a real place. We've shipped internationally before. We processed the order.

Three days later we got an email from N. Ness. It said: "Received. Dark Roast is exceptional. S'mores is better than expected. Yirgacheffe requires more investigation. Will reorder. Please note: standard shipping is fine going forward. I am patient."

We wrote back: "Thank you for your order. We're glad you enjoyed it. Please let us know if you have any questions."

She wrote back: "I have many questions. None of them are about coffee."

We left it there. Some things are better left in the loch.
