Flavored Coffee Gets a Bad Rap. We're Here to Change That.
Somewhere along the way, flavored coffee got dismissed by the specialty coffee crowd as something less serious — a sugary shortcut for people who don't really like coffee. We disagree. At Foxhole Coffee Co., we believe great flavored coffee starts with great beans, and when done right, it's one of the most enjoyable and versatile ways to drink coffee.
Our Flavored Coffee collection is built on that belief. Here's a look at what we carry and how to find your perfect cup.
What Makes Flavored Coffee Different?
Flavored coffee is made by adding natural or artificial flavor oils to roasted coffee beans. The beans are tumbled with the flavoring after roasting, allowing the oils to coat the surface and infuse the coffee with aroma and taste. The result is a cup that carries the familiar warmth of coffee with an added layer of flavor — whether that's vanilla, hazelnut, chocolate, or something more adventurous.
The key to good flavored coffee is starting with quality beans. Cheap beans with heavy flavoring taste artificial and flat. Quality beans with well-balanced flavoring taste like a natural extension of the coffee itself.
Our Flavored Coffee Lineup
We've built a collection that covers the classics and goes well beyond them. Here's a look at what's in our Flavored collection:
The Classics
- French Vanilla — Smooth, creamy, and timeless. The most popular flavored coffee for a reason.
- Hazelnut — Warm, nutty, and naturally complementary to coffee's roasted notes.
- Caramel — Sweet and buttery with a rich finish. Great with milk or cream.
- Mocha — Chocolate and coffee, the classic pairing. Bold and satisfying.
The Indulgent
- Chocolate Hazelnut — Think Nutella in a cup. Rich, smooth, and dangerously good.
- Cinnabun — Warm cinnamon and sweet dough — like a fresh cinnamon roll in your mug.
- Pecan Pie — Buttery, nutty, and sweet. A fall favorite that's good year-round.
- Turtle — Caramel, chocolate, and pecan all in one cup. A dessert coffee done right.
- S'mores — Chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker. Campfire vibes, no fire required.
The Bold & Spiced
- Mexican Chocolate — Dark chocolate with a hint of cinnamon and spice. Complex and warming.
- Cinnamon Hazelnut — The best of both worlds — warm spice meets nutty sweetness.
- Pumpkin Spice — The seasonal favorite, done with real coffee quality behind it.
- Dubai Chocolate — Inspired by the viral Dubai chocolate trend — rich, exotic, and utterly craveable.
The Refreshing
- Mint — Cool and crisp. Especially great iced or as an after-dinner cup.
- Candy Cane — Peppermint sweetness with a festive twist. A holiday staple.
How to Brew Flavored Coffee
Flavored coffee works well with almost any brewing method, but a few tips will help you get the most out of it:
- Drip coffee maker: The most common and consistent method. Flavored coffees shine here.
- French press: Produces a fuller-bodied cup that amplifies the flavor oils. See our French Press Guide.
- Cold brew: Flavored cold brew is incredible — the cold extraction mellows the coffee and lets the added flavors come through cleanly. See our Cold Brew Guide.
- Avoid very high temperatures: Extremely hot water can slightly diminish delicate flavor notes. Brewing at 195–200°F is ideal.
Pro tip: Flavored coffees are best enjoyed without heavy additional flavoring — let the coffee do the work. A splash of cream or milk is all most of them need.
